Heather K. Bernstein Interior Design is a San Francisco-based luxury interior design firm. From organic vision to design implementation, HKB embarks on an integrative journey with our clients. Our elevated approach is curated with our habitué in mind whether they are seeking simple room enhancements or an inclusive, full-scale architectural project. We compose stunning spaces that are both opulent and meaningful by journeying our clients through an exclusively tailored path to design. While located in the Bay Area, we curate spaces for clients around the world whether moving to a permanent new location or personalizing a second home in the mountains.

Our Process

Discovery & Concept

We meet our clients in their homes to determine project goals and custom curate the scope, budget and timeline. After aligning on the project, we go to work generating ideas and solutions while curating a schematic design of inspirational images and palettes. We also perform preliminary space planning, furniture and finish selections and present the design for feedback.

Design & Document

Now we work up drawings (if needed) while finishing furniture specifications, schedules, and finalizing the design.

We love to keep you involved in the process, share weekly updates, and keep you looped in on the budget. However, we only involve you as much as you desire when implementation begins.

Execution & Reveal

Now it is time to bring your distinctive design concept to life. Here we prepare and submit purchase orders, perform various site visits, meet with you at our design studio, and then install.

Upon completion, we pop your favorite champagne as you indulge yourself in your beautiful oasis.
